We Are Still Here: Deployment Ban on Health Workers

On April 10, 2020, the POEA released resolution no. 9 series of 2020 banning Health workers from leaving the country. Listed in the resolution were the reasons for the ban. One of them is the WHO recommended number of health workers for the attainment of SDG(Sustainable Development Goals) which is 44.5 HRH to 10,000 population. The question is why now? SDG replaced the MDG(Millenium Development Goals) and the first year it was implemented is 2016. Creation of plantilla for health workers should’ve been done even before. How many years have passed? Or maybe they were created but reserved. 😜 All the “whereases” of the resolution were on the sustain, complement, reserve and preparation of shortage of Health Worker resources. I am really looking for the part of securing their safety against the disease from other country. (Okay It’s not on paper so it’s not really the priority eh?)

On April 13, a revision on IATF resolution 23 allows HCW who had contracts signed and perfected before May 8 may leave the country provided they completed all the requirements and with a declaration that they know the risk. Risk? Isn’t it more risky here? The percentage of infected with COVID 19 and deaths of frontliners here is higher than any other countries. The data on april showed almost 20% were healthcare workers and now it’s june with 2000+ infected.

There are 500,000 registered nurses in the Philippines, only 65, 000 are working locally according to an ariticle I’ve read from Manila Bulletin dated October 30, 2019. I cannot find any data on the exact number working abroad in total. I have read one with 150k in the US and about less 100k on the middle east. If we are going to compute there are still aproximately more than 50% here. And Yes!!!! We are still here. The number of those going abroad is far less those who are still here unemployed or underemployed working on other industries. I still wanted to go back and serve in the health sector in this country but with all of these? The salaries and the benefits? The hiring system? The bashing of those who never understand that those hospitals gaining more money while starving their health force? Are we going to allow abuse just because of our calling? I have given up. Yes! I’ve been here waiting patiently for a place, a place with stability. I graduated 2009 and still working on contractual basis. I don’t ask for higher salary but a just, fair and professional working environment. Right working hours, number of patients and respect. (Life balance)

This pandemic had brought out the darker colours these leaders and even some people we serve of how they view health workers in the country. They hear and see us but pretended to be deaf and blind. It’s like we rely on public criticism for them to atleast do something TEMPORARILY, just to pacify the bashing (period). We are like “panakip butas” or PRN medicines. After this, maybe those contracted workers and volunteers for COVID 19 will go back to the same career state.

But there’s hope once the ban lifted (of course it should be lifted, it’s temporary) Other countries have realized the need for the health workforce so let the competion begins. It’s just sad that the “Hope” will be from other country.

Legit Earn Money/Rewards: Reviewing Sites and Applications that Claims to Give Money or Reward

I have been convinced or enticed to join sites or application that claims to give rewards like games, surveys, watching videos or ads and doing some task and end up “Scammed”, not really on the sense that I gave money BUT it’s still the time, the effort and the data uses.

So I thought why not make videos about this sites if they are legit or schemes to fool us?

Please help me make it to 1k sub and if you want to be updated on the applications or sites you have joined.

Dr Bodre Propolis Serum Review

I saw this serum while browsing Shopee (Online Shopping Application). Got me curious since it has more ingredients than the one I’m using the Elujai Propolis.

Here’s the Ingredients Listed and information from the shop https://shopee.ph/kitrj/1996623714?smtt=0.0.9

Here is the actual Bottle. Alln written in korea except for the name and volume. It’s not full but doesnt mean it is not 15 ml. The bottle looks almost the same with Elujai.

The color of the actual content of the product is clear and more watery than elujai. The scent is a mild men’s deo or perfume.

I stopped using elujai to check for it’s effectivity or if it may cause me breakout. After 5 days of use, I did’nt have any breakout, my skin is almost the same but I notice it is brighter. (Sorry didnt have a before photo haha)

This is my 6th day face (lights coming from the window of the room)

I’ll update after I finish the first bottle.

Homemade Chocolate Business: Melting and Molding Chocolates

Food. It’s something everyday people buy and a good business. Imagine the crowd and long lines in restaurants and canteens during lunch and at night??? The gift packs that easily got out of stock during holidays? But going big needs also large money and I didn’t even have materials needed to even make cookies. I wanted to sell foods that easily prepared and don’t spoil easy.

One time an aunt gave us a box of chocolates then I started searching online how to do it. I tried experimenting at first which you can see here:

https://wordpress.com/block-editor/post/abautista777.wordpress.com?url=https%3A%2F%2Fabautista777.wordpress.com%2F2019%2F03%2F03%2Fwatch-home-made-chocolates-experiment-using-butter-on-youtube-fail-or-success%2F&title=Watch%20%22Home%20made%20Chocolates%20Experiment%20Using%20Butter%22%20on%20YouTube%20%3A%20Fail%20or%20Success%3F

Then I bought a 1 kg of beryl’s Chocolate Compound Bittersweet at the supermarket that costed 285 pesos (about $5.5) and a moulder 195 pesos. Melted the chocolates and I came up with this

I still didnt have the right packaging so it ended up in our stomachs.

I completed the items I needed through an online shop in Shopee called Choco Pinoy. Now I have 2 loliipop moulders, 2 small cup cake sized moulders, 100gms prinkles, 100gms rice crispies, 20 small boxes, 200 lollipos sticks, OPP plastics, Thank You stickers(bought at different shop), raisins, 200gms peanuts, deutch white chocolate compoind half kg and another 1kg of beryl’s, this time their milk chocolate. I’ve spent about less 1500php ($30)

Here are the first Chocolates I made with the packaging. About 1/4 of the block you can already fill more than the two moulds. I sold them all 200php ($4)

I melted it using a pot with water and place another stainless bowl with the chocolates. There are other videos in youtube with details how to do that properly.

I used Deutch White Chocolate compound for decorating and crushed to powder sprinkles to add colors since I didn’t have a food coloring yet and oil base colorings are expensive.

Here’s the full video of another bactch in youtube

Bear with the angles and the background noises 🙂

.

Planning to buy more moulders so I can make more batches.

Now I’m worried that I am selling them cheap compared to those who used the cheaper compounds but I am always with the satisfaction of the buyer. Right now I’m learning how to put better and justifiable prices. Seen some sellers on FB selling lollipops from 10-15php.

Do you have any Idea how much they are really sold?

Thank you 🙂
